" This award is given especially to these readers. Your visits and comments make me happy to be a blogger. I learn from you, your comments, and your blogs more than I can say.

  6. A prized award, I think. Well deserved.

And was it Hans Christian Anderson you mentioned? When I was little...WAAAyyyyyyy back...I had a red album by Danny Kaye of Hans Christian Anderson's tales. One of my prized possessions, although I was so young I've forgotten all that was on it. I'll have to investigate.

  12. It makes so much difference when people leave you a comment. I was bewildered at first to find that people actually bothered to stop and read. But I love your blog!
I'd love to meet you for san Vito. Actually about the get together in july, is there a time that's best for you? There are a few working through summer so I'll have to contact them too.

  13. You are Renee's friend but I don't see you have this yet. I came here especially to give this to you.

I Ces, happily present this award to you Lola! You are Renee’s Friend and should rightly have this award. I shall quote my dearest friend Bella from on here.

    Bella says:

"This one is meaningful to me in three profound ways. Firstly, it was created in honor of Renee, one human being who has made such a difference in the lives of many just by being. Her honestly, wit, intelligence, and grit are a tremendous source of inspiration. She can elicit raucous laughter and guffaws in her banter, and then turn right around and offer the most heartfelt, gentle words of wisdom and emotional support. She is a spreader of love, simple and true. And her love is infectious.

Secondly, this award was created in collaboration with one of my best friends, Ces. She is, in Renee's own words, truly original. She is an incredible artist, both in pen and ink and paint. She is fiery passion with a gentle hand. She is laughter, fun, joy, intellectual stimulation, a sister. The concept and design of the award belong to Ces.

Thirdly, this is a brand new award, and I have the pleasure and honor of spreading the seed, watching it grow. I hope it finds its way to those who are like Renee: the acorn, a small package becoming a tall and sturdy oak giving more acorns, becoming tall and sturdy oaks, giving acorns…"

    And now!
I present this award to you. here is the award logo. You can copy it from my blog:

  14. It's good to have readers like that, it really keeps one going. And blogging is a wonderful adventure also for reasons such as this.

Writing - for example writing a book - is more solitary. Some well known writers have in fact decided to continue their work on-line.

And only dementia now impedes me from telling you their names.
