Snow in Rome!

Here are a few photos of the winter wonderland we woke up to just a few days ago here in the Eternal City. I'm posting more images of the snow on Roma Every Day, n case you're interested in purchasing prints.

I promise to be more consistent with my blogging, I know I've slacked a bit lately, but work has really absorbed me in these last few weeks.

A presto,
Eleonora

  1. Eleonora,
this is so much fun to look at, but I imagine not when you live there and need to get to work!
In all the time living there, I never experienced snow in Rome. Only once an accumulation of slush and I walked all the way from Piazza Verdi through Villa Borghese down to the Vatican. By the time I arrived down there, the slush had almost melted away.
    Stay warm,
    abbraccione,
    Merisi

(I am going to be in Venice for a week, soon - hope that temperatures are a little less frosty then!)

  8. And I always thought of Italy as the place to go to when we have frozen lakes here and snowball fights (which I always dreaded). And now your pictures look just like ours here in Germany! But then, one of my African friends said she never even saw falling snow or experienced such cold weather. At least E will be able to tell his grandchildren one day that yes, He did!!

  11. I love the street scene with parked cars and the tire tracks. I mostly love the little signor at the door. Tell him 'buongiorno' from me, in the land where we have no snow--and that this is very very strange for us. It's the opposite of Rome.
