  3. "Behind the Green Door" is a classic song by the Mills Brothers. The story is of a boy wondering what is going on in there. (Oops, it also is the title of famous porn movie. We'll ignore that one.)

  4. I was in Rome last summer, and I loved the doors-in-the-walls. Now I'm going to have to re-visit my photos and see if many were green. Perhaps it should be added as a good luck omen to your last post?

  7. Isn't it amazing that we are so fascinated with these architecturally gorgeous doors that have such perfect craftsmanship and detail - including their rusting hinges, graffiti or splits.

  9. Great photos! In my town it's the window shutters that are all green, but a much brighter, green pea sort of green!

I'm starting to think that myself now. Green means envy in Italy, but perhaps not when applied to entry ways...
